Employee Benefit Plans
In 1998, our board of directors approved a defined contribution plan that provides retirement benefits under the provisions of Section 401(k) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our 401(k) Plan (“Plan”) covers substantially all employees who meet a minimum service requirement. Contributions of $1.9 million, $1.3 million, and $0.9 million were made by us for the years ended December 31, 2015, 2014, and 2013, respectively.
The Company sponsors various retirement plans for its non-U.S. employees. Accrued liabilities related to obligations under these plans totaled $0.7 million and $0.6 million as of December 31, 2015 and 2014, respectively, and are included in the line, "Other long-term liabilities" in the accompanying Consolidated Balance Sheets.
